Commercial Plumbing Installation Worker

We are currently hiring for a full-time Commercial Plumbing Installation Worker to install drains and gas piping systems for multi-family apartments and commercial projects in the Springfield, MO area. We offer this position a competitive wage of $24 - $30 per hour, depending on experience. Plumbing Manager

Summary The Plumbing Manager oversees the daily operations of the plumbing department, ensuring high-quality service, efficient resource allocation, code compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role includes managing plumbing staff, coordinating projects, estimating jobs, and maintaining strong communication with clients, vendors, and other departments. Job Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead a team of plumbers, apprentices, and subcontractors. • Plan, schedule, and assign plumbing work to ensure timely completion. • Review plumbing blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. • Oversee installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. • Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards. • Train and mentor plumbing team members; provide performance evaluations and feedback. • Estimate labor and material costs for plumbing projects; prepare and review bids or proposals. • Monitor inventory and order necessary tools, materials, and supplies. • Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to maintain strong relationships and resolve any issues. • Maintain accurate records, including work logs, inspections, incident reports, and permits. • Reviews customer satisfaction list daily and resolves issues the same day. • Ensure adherence to OSHA and other safety standards across job sites. • Conduct regular site visits to inspect ongoing work and ensure quality control. • Demonstrates a strong commitment to completing tasks efficiently and effectively, going above and beyond to ensure high-quality results. • Upholds a professional demeanor and appearance in all customer interactions • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required; trade license or trade certification preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing codes • Five to ten years of experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and correcting diverse plumbing issues • Minimum of two years of experience leading a team of skilled technicians, preferably with a reputable service company with $3M - $10M in revenue • A valid driver’s license; approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier • Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through. • Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals. • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations. • Function in a team environment and possess a willingness to effectively lead a team in a way that produces positive outcomes • Must be able to use a computer, tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS. Utilization of modern technology is required. Physical Requirements: • Spends time in the office addressing any problem issues and/or administrative needs. • Occasionally works in outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow). • In the field, climbs ladders and steep stairs. Majority of time spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching. Often works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces. • In the field, must be able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices). • In the field, may occasionally works from heights up to 15 feet above ground • In the field, carries 24 ft extension ladder alone and/or 40 ft extension ladder with a fellow-coworker on most jobs • Have good visual acuity. Position Specific Standards: • Willing to continue training for personal growth as well as participating in the training of new employees. • Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule, if needed. • Available for support to the team by phone (as needed 24/7). • Maintain confidentiality of employee performance issues and concerns.
