JOB DESCRIPTION: An underground utilities, plumbing specialist is responsible for the excavation, installation and (or) maintenance of water main and service lines. We are looking to fill multiple positions on this crew requiring varying levels of related knowledge: from general labor to pipe-fitter, to equipment operator. Excavation may be accomplished using backhoe, mini-excavator or by utilizing hand tools. Knowledge of piping and associated fittings and water meters is essential. Job Requirements • General plumbing work, able to run heavy equipment (backhoe, mini-excavator, skid-steer). • Consistent dependability (must have good attendance) • Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance • Stamina to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, climb and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions • Carry own tools • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
