Plumbing Designer

As part of the Buildings Group for Garver, this Plumbing Designer will be responsible for developing plumbing designs in support of various Buildings Business Line projects. Specifically, this responsibility will include a variety of projects related to leading the planning, design, and commissioning of: • Building domestic water systems • Building sanitary sewer systems • Building roof/storm drain systems Additionally, In addition, this role will include coordination with other support disciplines, and coordination with regional offices. Assisting engineers in the plumbing system design of building projects. Following quality assurance and quality control plans. Abilities and attributes needed for this position: • Knowledge of building plumbing system principles • Interfacing with project teams on project design, delivery, and construction. • Managing project budget and schedule compliance. • Plumbing design of building projects throughout the project lifecycle from the conceptual phase, design phase, and construction phase. • Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings • Utilize software based calculation tools for design calculations • Manage multiple assignments concurrently • Be responsible for time management and product quality • Follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans • Be responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as overall needs of the team.
