Our crews work locally in various locations or travel to project sites throughout the country with a large volume of our work located in Southern Arizona. We also have active work opportunities throughout the rest of Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Florida, and elsewhere. Much of our work is federal, so employees have the opportunity to earn prevailing wages (Davis Bacon Act) based on their location. Job Summary The Sewer Service Technician possesses a strong background in sewer and drain system maintenance and repair, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service. The Sewer Service Technician, is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining sewer systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties & Responsibilities • Sewer and Drain System Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of sewer and drain systems to identify issues, blockages, leaks, or damage. • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance tasks on sewer and drain lines, pipes, and associated equipment. • Unclogging and Clearing: Utilize specialized tools and equipment to clear blockages and obstructions from sewer and drain lines. • Diagnosis: Accurately diagnose sewer and drain system problems and provide recommendations for repair or replacement as needed. • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and services provided. • Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, explaining the diagnosis and recommended solutions clearly and answering their questions. • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on sewer and drain systems to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients. • Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain and care for all tools, equipment, and vehicles used in the course of your work. • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to sewer systems and plumbing. • Emergency Response: Be available for on-call and emergency services, which may include evenings and weekends on a rotational basis. • This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive, but representative; other duties may be assigned. Education & Experience • Proven experience as a Sewer/Drain Service Technician or in a similar role. • Strong knowledge of sewer and drain systems, plumbing codes, and regulations. Physical Demands • Must be able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects of up to 50 lbs. unassisted. • Must be able to continually stand, walk, climb, ascend/descend ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, and crouch, frequently in tight spaces, for extended periods of time, in indoor and outdoor conditions. • Must be able to continually use hands/fingers to handle, feel, utilize tools, and operate machinery. Work Environment & Conditions • Field environment including interior and exterior of customers' residential properties. May require exposure to weather conditions, dusts, and mists that may be present while working outdoors. Exposure to chemicals may occur. Use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety-footwear, goggles, gloves, shield, mask or respirator, and hardhats may be required. • Must be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license and insurable driving history. • Must pass background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check. Work Schedule • Generally, Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 4PM, additional periodic nights and weekends may be required to accommodate business needs.
