The Plumber's Helper will assist licensed plumbers in various tasks, ensuring that plumbing systems are installed, maintained, and repaired efficiently. Plumbing Detailer - Yearout Mechanical

Yearout Mechanical, a Legence Company Yearout Mechanical is a New Mexico based company specializing in the installation of mechanical and process systems for the commercial, government, manufacturing and industrial communities of New Mexico and Texas. Responsibilities include taking a set of drawings from a plans and specification job and go through to coordinate all plumbing and piping and sheet metal systems. Must be able to alert engineers of any design problems. In a design build environment, the detailer must be able to work with the engineers from the conceptual design to helping draw and design and draw all systems associated with mechanical systems. Generate drawings so the people in the field can install systems using the drawing as a guide. To draw and coordinate the mechanical systems in project(s) for the purpose of prefabrication and installation. Direct Reports to BIM Manager Minimum Qualifications • Must be willing to attend CAD PIPE and AutoCAD training. • Must be able to read and understand all construction plans and specifications. • Must be able to read and review all submittals and make corrections. • Must be able to enter a jobsite and verify existing conditions. • Must have 5 years field foremen experience Senior Detailers Include The Following Requirements • 5 or more years of detailing experience. • 5 or more years experience with plumbing and/or sheet metal. Knowledge & Skills • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals. • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance. • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others. • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software. • Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education. • Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently. Responsibilities Include • Must use cad pipe to detail job. • Must be able to download shop drawings to fab shop. • Must be able to communicate with engineers and field foremen. • Must be able to help project managers review submittals. • Must be able to order materials from CAD generated material list. • Must be able to find the cleanest and most cost effective route for all systems. The above responsibilities are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to define minimum activities. These duties may be altered to suit the needs of the company(s). Requirements Of The Job • Must successfully pass required drug and physical tests. • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions. • Must clear background check. • Must clear previous employment screening and reference checks. • Must be able to lift 50 Lbs. • Ability to work at computer for extended periods of time.
