JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: A high school diploma, associate degree, and/or related experience are preferred. Certification or Licensure: Must possess a valid state driver's license. Back Flow Certification is preferred. Skills: Leadership ability with good interpersonal skills. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to interpret plumbing codes. Knowledge of plumbing tools, equipment, and materials and their use. Must have the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. Work Experience: At least four years of experience on the job in the field of plumbing. PRIMARY DUTY: This position is responsible for servicing and maintaining all plumbing and sewer devices (some new construction and installation of new equipment). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Respond to maintenance requests and restore all plumbing equipment, devices, and sewerage systems to proper working order. 2.Troubleshoots and makes repairs according to specifications. 3.Reports any problems observed while on the job. 4.Maintains records (service tickets) on work completed and turns in to the foreman along with a travel log at the end of each workday. 5.Maintains assigned vehicle inventory. 6.Clean debris after the job is completed. 7.Provides personal "basic" plumbing tools on every job daily. 8.The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned, or required by such employee's supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law board policy administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission. Job Summary Commercial construction skills and work as listed but not limited to: Underground plumbing, above-ground plumbing, fixture setting, and plumbing trim work in commercial buildings.
