Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Deliver Projects on Budget and Schedule: • Work 40 hours per week, arriving punctually and adhering to scheduled breaks and lunches. • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to project standards. • Attend daily and weekly meetings with the Project Foreman or Project Manager to understand project goals. • Prepare tools and materials in advance to maximize task efficiency. • Ensure quality workmanship to prevent deficiencies and avoid rework. • Proactively request tools or materials early to prevent production delays. • Customer Service and Jobsite Maintenance: • Refer all customer inquiries regarding changes to project timelines, work scope, or design to the Project Foreman. • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers and report any concerns to the Project Foreman. • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. • Maintain Licensing and Participate in Training: • Maintain an active journeyman plumber's license (Idaho residents) and meet all continuing education requirements. • If licensed from another state, obtain an Idaho journeyman license within 6 months of the start date or hold an apprentice license if necessary. • Actively participate in the company's training and development programs. • Employee Evaluation and Performance: • Participate in regular employee evaluations, setting personal and professional goals. • Work with supervisors to improve skills and track progress based on evaluation feedback. • Mentor and train plumbing apprentices, guiding them through company procedures and best practices. The ideal candidate should possess: • Valid journeyman plumbing license (Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months). • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to project requirements. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and project documentation. • Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality workmanship. • Willingness to mentor and train plumbing apprentices. The Foreman will work closely with the Project Manager, crew members, and General Contractor or Construction Manager (GC/CM) to ensure smooth operations, clear communication, and a successful project delivery. Plumbing Aide

Seasonal Information - Parks This is a seasonal position within the Parks & Recreation Department. • Hours of operation are 7:00am - 3:30pm. All scheduled shifts will occur within that window of time. • Placement on the Seasonal Pay Scale and associated steps relate directly to position, qualifications, and experience with the City of Pocatello. • Employment with the City of Pocatello is contingent on passing a background check. Job Description Perform manual, skilled, and unskilled labor in the cleaning, maintenance and repair of grounds and facilities at and around City parks/facilities and on or adjacent to public rights-of-way. Performs general construction, maintenance, and repairs to a wide array of City buildings and infrastructure. This position requires applicants to be 16 years of age or older. The job requires working knowledge of construction and landscape techniques and general cleaning and janitorial methods. The job requires the ability to utilize hand and power tools in a safe manner. The job requires the ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative working relationship with elected and appointed officials, other City employees, other organizations, and the general public. Individuals must be capable of operating vehicles safely and have an acceptable driving record. The work environment will include inside conditions, outdoor weather conditions, in wet and humid conditions, with areas of dust, odors, mist, gases or other airborne matter. Employees work in/at places where they are exposed to mechanical hazards. Employees will also drive a vehicle as part of this position. This position works days, evenings, and weekends as required. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Performs basic irrigation system repairs, including: digging up & replacing sprinkler heads & valves, and troubleshooting irrigation time clocks. • Inspects sprinkler heads for proper operation, and makes adjustments as needed. • Assists with installation of new irrigation systems and retrofitting old systems. • Daily reporting of assigned job completion status to supervisor. • Responsible for driving a City vehicles and trailers, as well as loading & transport of large area City maintenance equipment to various park & beautification area and construction sites throughout the City, as assigned. • Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time.
