Open Until Filled GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position performs a variety of grounds and building tasks pertaining to the maintenance of installing plumbing and steam heating systems. Assembles, welds, fabricates, installs, repairs, or replaces water pipes, steam lines, boilers, drains, sewer lines, sinks, and toilets. Checks valves and various plumbing fixtures and heating units. Inspects, cleans, and repairs sewer drains and plugged lines. Maintains building pneumatic control units and steam/glycol-related components of HVAC systems. Repairs or replaces equipment and controls on heating system boilers. Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of individual trades by monitoring projects, delegating assignments, and ensuring that the projects meet OSHA standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Management) Experience: 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Plumbing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Senior Plumber OR Education & Experience Substitution: 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Plumbing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Senior Plumber Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. • Must be able to reach appropriate areas under cabinets, and other tight places with limited light and access. • Must be physically able to carry equipment and tools.
