Apprenticeships last about four years, requiring many hours of training under licensed professionals. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports 635,000 plumbers nationwide, with projections of a 6% job growth from 2023 to 2033. In Spencer, IA, apprentices earn an average of $748.50 per week, with experienced plumbers earning up to $959 per week.
