About the Role We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our maintenance and facilities team. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure safe and efficient operation across all facilities. This position plays an essential role in maintaining building functionality, preventing system failures, and supporting overall facility safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities • Install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems including pipes, fittings, valves, drains, and fixtures. • Diagnose plumbing issues and perform corrective maintenance or replacement of defective components. • Maintain and repair domestic water systems, sanitary sewer lines, and storm drainage systems. • Install and service water heaters, pumps, and other plumbing-related equipment. • Test systems for leaks and ensure all repairs meet applicable codes and safety standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute plumbing work. • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. • Collaborate with other maintenance and construction staff on renovation and upgrade projects. • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on tasks. • Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or trade certification preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of plumbing experience in commercial, industrial, or facility maintenance settings. • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, tools, and techniques. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics. • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces or at heights. • Valid driver's license required; journeyman or master plumber license preferred. Preferred Skills • Experience with backflow prevention devices, water heaters, and pump systems. • Knowledge of HVAC condensate and drainage connections. • Familiarity with energy-efficient and environmentally friendly plumbing systems. • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
