Plumbing Mechanic

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Mechanic to support a new construction project in Lenoir, NC. This role involves the installation, modification, and repair of plumbing systems in accordance with building plans and code requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on commercial or industrial construction sites and be highly skilled in all phases of plumbing work. Key Responsibilities: • Install, modify, and repair plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage systems, venting, and gas piping. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to determine layout and materials. • Assemble and install pipes, fixtures, and fittings using appropriate hand and power tools. • Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using specialized tools and machinery. • Conduct pressure tests and inspections to identify leaks and ensure proper function. • Ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and project specifications. • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to meet deadlines. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA standards. Required Knowledge: • Working knowledge of plumbing codes and standards.
