SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE: The Apprentice will spend time training under other Plumbing Professionals in order to develop a well-rounded knowledge of plumbing and piping systems. The Apprentice will perform entry level general plumbing duties as required with supervision. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These duties are not listed in any order of priority but will be weighted for performance management purposes. • Promote safety as the core value at TATRO. • Develop an understanding of plumbing trade basics such as fixtures, drain waste & vent systems, water distribution systems, and piping & fittings. • Act as a helper with the assembly, installation, and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures by performing duties as directed by the supervisor. • Maintain equipment, tools and company vehicles in clean and good working condition. • Ensure job site cleanliness and organization through all phases of the service process. • Prepare work sites as directed. • Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, delivering, loading and unloading, etc. • Other duties as required. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum of 18 years old. • Valid Driver s License. • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. • Basic mathematical skills. • Basic computer/tablet skills, including Microsoft Office products and email services. • Prior construction and/or plumbing experience preferred. • Must have a willingness to learn. • Must be willing to travel when needed. • General construction knowledge is preferred but not required. SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE: The Plumbing Service Technician will assemble, install and repair plumbing and med gas systems as necessary. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, fixtures and boilers for hydronic heating, water, med gas and drainage systems. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These duties are not listed in any order of priority but will be weighted for performance management purposes. • Diagnose problems and/or failures in a variety of plumbing and gas systems. • Repair and install various types of piping including iron, steel, copper and PVC. • Inspects equipment, structures and materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. • Test for leaks in new and repaired systems with compressed air and/or water. • Operate powered equipment including hand tools, stationary machines, etc. • Lawfully drive a motor vehicle and maintain a current driver s license in order to commute to the various current or prospective job sites in the region. • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. • Maintain truck inventory. • Contact the office following the completion of each call, providing requested information regarding the work completed, and receiving dispatch instructions for the next call. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment. • Basic knowledge of construction. • Basic mathematical problem solving. • Basic computer/tablet skills, including Microsoft Office products and email services. • Journeyman s License is required. • Valid Driver s License. • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. • Must be willing to travel when needed.
