Plumbing Service Technician Trainee

As you develop your skills and knowledge, you can transition into a Plumbing Service Technician Apprentice role, gaining hands-on experience in the field under the guidance of our experienced plumbers. Responsibilities: • Work alongside experienced plumbers to learn plumbing techniques and practices. • Assist with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance. • Provide exceptional customer service • Gain knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices. • Develop proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment. • Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. • Build problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Gather and document information • Keep work truck and job site well organized. • Comply with all safety rules • Other duties as needed. Requirements: • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 pounds). • Willingness to learn and a strong interest in plumbing. • For insurance reasons, applicants must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record • Ability to follow directions as given, written and verbal • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and capability with tools and equipment • Active listener with clear and concise verbal and written communication skills • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other teammates to get the job done correctly and in the best interest of our customers while abiding by Company policies and procedures. • Ability to evaluate a situation and determine the appropriate level of response needed. • Ability to successfully work in a multi-tasking environment with constantly changing priorities. • Basic safety knowledge of tools and surroundings • Washington State Plumbers License or an active trainee card. • Previous experience using Service Titan software preferred. • Experience working with plumbing products and supplies desired. Maintenance Plumber - Pay $38

Job Title: Maintenance Plumber Job Description The Maintenance Plumber is responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems. The role requires adherence to specifications and plumbing codes. Responsibilities • Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. • Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations. • Inspect structures to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe. • Locate and mark positions of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls, roofs, and floors using ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob. • Cut openings to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings using hand tools and power tools. • Cut and thread pipe using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine. • Bend pipe to required angle using a pipe-bending machine or manually. • Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals and nonmetals using hand tools and power tools. • Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints. • Fill pipe systems with water or air and read pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. • Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners. • Repair and maintain plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains. • Weld or braze joints and test backflow prevention measures. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment. Essential Skills • Four years of plumbing experience. • Familiarity with pumps, pressure controls, sewer and water mains, and sprinkler systems. • Ability to maintain hand tools of the trade for normal work. • Certification in testing of backflow preventers. • Valid Washington State driver's license with an acceptable driving record. • Ability to meet physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification and clearance eligibility. • Ability to lift 50lbs. • Good communication skills for a service team environment.
