Residential Plumber

Plumber Job Responsibilities: • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. • Follow building plans and blueprints. • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies. • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems. • Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required. • Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates. • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used. • Planed excavation work with experience interacting with 811 Dig Plumber Qualifications / Skills: • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted • Excellent problem solving skills • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements • Knowledge of well pump systems • Knowledge of sewer pump systems Education and Experience Requirements: • High school diploma or GED certificate • Vocational Training a plus • Minimum 5 years experience as a plumber with references • Valid and clean driver’s license • Must have own tools Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Company truck • Dental insurance • Employee discount • Flexible schedule • Fuel card • Health insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Nights as needed • Weekends as needed • Year round work Supplemental Pay: • Bonus opportunities • Commission pay People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: • Plumbing: 5 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Newark, NY 14513 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Newark, NY 14513: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person

Summary Primarily responsible for performing Plumbing work and assist Plumber on daily tasks and projects. Essential Functions • Measure, cut, thread and assemble new pipe, placing the assembled pipe in hangers or other supports. • Cut or drill holes in walls or floors to accommodate the passage of pipes. • Assist pipe fitters in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping for air, gas and water systems. • Cut pipe and lift up to fitters. • Fit or assist in fitting valves, couplings, or assemblies to tanks, pumps, or systems using hand tools. • Mount brackets and hangers on walls and ceilings to hold pipes, and set sleeves or inserts to provide support for pipes. • Excavate and grade ditches, and lay and join pipe for water and sewer service • Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe. • Wear PPE as established by the company guidelines • Any other tasks as assigned manager Required Education and Experience • Organizational and multitasking abilities • Active listener with excellent communication skills • Sound judgment and critical thinking • Professional behavior and conduct • Must be able to work well individually and with a team.
