The preferred HVAC Technician / Pipefitter will be responsible for the review, installation, inspection, repair, replacement and conversion of various systems. Responsibilities • Demolition and removal of fixtures & pipe • Material handling & distribution • Basic layout & hole drilling • Core-boring of concrete & drilling of wood • Fire stopping & sleeve installations • Roughing in of various types of HVAC components and piping • Ability to read & understanding a construction document or mechanical drawing • The ability to read & understand a product submittal or material invoice • Have a familiarity with Uponor Pex, Pro Press, Mega Press for both gas & hydronic steel piping • Understanding the basic principles and responsibilities of construction, installation, and repair site cleanup Qualifications • Two years minimum of plumbing experience • The ability to hold and maintain an active S1, or S2 Heating, Piping, Cooling Journeyperson License • Hold an active driver’s license, and an ability to maintain reliable transportation • Ability to lift & hold up to 50lbs, reach, stand or kneel, or climb and carry a ladder throughout the course of the day • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check • OSHA 10 Outreach for Construction Certification Card (CURRENT WITHIN LAST 5 YEARS) D/E/F Services Group, LTD is an Equal Opportunity Employer. See More Details >>About the position Responsibilities • Use machines, tools and equipment including a variety of hand and power tools associated within the plumbing/pipefitting trade. • Perform service plumbing duties on commercial restrooms by working from diagrams, schematic drawings, sketches, prints, operating manuals and verbal instruction. • Inspect and repair industrial systems such as water (reverse osmosis, potable and non-potable water), gasses (argon, nitrogen, hydrogen, helium, compressed air, natural gas), storage and supply systems, valves, fixtures, cooling towers, chilled water pumps and chillers. • Troubleshoot various types of malfunctioning plumbing equipment and resolve identified issues. • Install and modify piping systems. • Retrieve material and stock for all assigned work. • Maintain complete documentation of maintenance records in accordance with departmental requirements. • Perform all work tasks safely and in accordance with company environment, health and safety procedures. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. • Experience with commercial plumbing systems including commercial restrooms. • Basic mechanical aptitude, and ability to perform regular manual labor. • Basic computer skills. Nice-to-haves • Trade School Completion. • State of Connecticut Backflow Tester certification or willingness and ability to be certified within the first two years of employment. • P1 or P2 License.
