Position: Welder Location: Ewing, NJ Responsibilities: - Performs gas welding, brazing and soldering of mild steel, stainless steel, copper alloys, cast iron, cast steel and other alloys. - Sets up and uses welding machines, oxy / acetylene gas welding/burning rigs, pipe threader (manual or electric), hand & floor mounted grinders. - Determines the size, length, different fittings needed to get from point "a" to point "b". - Threads, flanges, sweats, glues or uses compression fittings for steel, s/s, pvc, cpvc, cast iron, cast steel or any pipe currently present. - Provides proper support and hangs any piping. - Trouble shoots, maintains and repairs our wet and dry fire system, most hydraulic, pneumatic or vacuum situations that occur, and sanitary sewer systems. - Establishes a safe working condition for him while using the proper lock-out/tag-out procedures, and using the company supplied p-p-e items. - Required to perform maintenance work. - Performs other duties as directed.
