Pipefitter/Mechanic

Pipe Fitter / Mechanic We are looking for a pipe fitter / welder, who is fluent in all types of piping systems. From welding to soldering, glueing to threading. They will need layout and math skills, the ability to install pipe systems from design drawings, field layouts, and / or the ability to complete an installation with minimal design drawings. Must be able to read PI&D, Isometric and Design drawings. Candidates must have their own hand tools, reliable transportation, and be willing to travel to various job sites, when needed. Plumber & Steamfitter

DUTIES: Under supervision of a Crew Supervisor, Plumbers and Steamfitters, or other supervisor in a state department, institution, or agency, does varied types of plumbing work involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and steam fitting fixtures, fittings, and systems; does other related duties as required. REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of broad experience in work involving the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and steam fitting fixtures, fittings appliances, machinery, and plumbing systems. LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
