Assists in the work direction of other mechanics, and trades helpers. Among the key duties of this position are the following: • Operates, maintains, repairs and installs, including but not limited to: pipe systems, plumbing fixtures, heating fixtures, steam fixtures, regulators valves and various system elements/appliances. • Responds to plumbing trouble calls and requests within the facilities, using hand tools, power tools, analyzing equipment and testing instruments. • Performs routine maintenance, preventive maintenance and inspections on plumbing systems equipment and related equipment/systems. Ancillary equipment and support systems are inclusive of, but not limited to: exchangers, regulators, coils, fluid/gas piping, strainers, operating valves and medical air/gas systems. • Installs, repairs and/or maintains water, gas, oil, waste disposal and high-pressure steam and high-temperature hot water.
