Overview About the Role The Sr Plumber/Steamfitter position is to take the lead in performing a variety of maintenance repairs and installation/replacement of plumbing systems and fixtures including supply systems, DWV system, plumbing, heating, and steam fixtures/equipment. Responsibilities What You’ll Do • Operates, maintains, repairs, and installs pipe systems, plumbing fixtures, heating fixtures, steam fixtures, regulator valves and various system elements/appliances. • Responds to plumbing trouble calls and requests within the facilities, using hand tools, pneumatic and/or hydraulic power tools, analyzing equipment and testing instruments. • Performs routine maintenance, preventive maintenance and inspections on plumbing systems equipment and related equipment/systems. • Installs, repairs and/or maintains water, gas, oil, waste disposal and high-pressure steam and high-temperature hot water. • Prepares, maintains, and submits to the Supervisor, Maintenance and Construction requisitions for material, work orders, required records and reports relating to plumbing equipment/systems. Qualifications What You’ll Bring Required • Technical school diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge plus six (6) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and • installation of plumbing systems/equipment, in an educational, industrial or health care setting.
