Job Summary PNE Construction (PNEC) – a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC Company, is seeking a Petroleum Pipefitter who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company and clients. Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States. PNE Construction is a full-service design-build contractor that has the capability to design and build many projects. The Petroleum Pipefitter is responsible for installing and maintaining piping systems and fixtures for high-pressure fuel lines and by performing the following duties. Education and Experience Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED • Valid Driver’s License or CDL required. Must meet eligibility requirements to be covered under the company’s vehicle insurance policy. • Minimum 2 years of experience working with grades, and interpreting blueprints • Experience with operating heavy equipment but not necessary. • Underground fuel piping installation experience at gas stations. • ICC certification for handling, installing, and testing underground and above-ground piping preferred. • Veeder-Root certification preferred but not required. • Individual fuel equipment certifications. • May be required to meet facial hair standards in accordance with OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.34). • Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy • Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Duties and Responsibilities The Petroleum Pipefitter possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following: • Safely operate and maintain company vehicles/machinery as required for job duties, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies • Heavy equipment operating of excavators, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers for trenching & grading. • Cut, thread, and taper pipe according to specifications using saws, torches, threaders, and benders • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, and fittings using brazing, gluing, soldering, or threading methods. • Install, inspect, and test underground and above -ground fuel piping systems. • Perform pressure and hydrostatic testing to ensure piping systems meet compliance standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications. • Lay out full-scale pipe systems, supports, and related equipment based on schematics and blueprints. • Maintain a clean and organized worksite in compliance with environmental and safety standards. • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation. • Monitor job progress, identify potential issues, work collaboratively to resolve them in a timely manner. • Provide on-site leadership and direction to crew members as necessary. • Complete daily field reports, time logs, and material usage records. • Communication effectively with supervisors, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors • Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations, help ensure crew compliance with proper PPE and safety protocols. • Assist with training new crew members with fuel systems and safety procedures. • Other duties as assigned.
