Plumber Pipefitter Hunter-Davisson, Inc. is a commercial HVAC-R Design Build Mechanical Contractor seeking Plumber Pipefitters. The Plumber Pipefitter is responsible for soldering and brazing piping during the installation of HVAC mechanical system components and equipment. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Read prints and layout plumbing systems and piping runs. • Cut and thread pipe. • Set/Hang/Pipe HVACR Equipment (to include refrigerant, make-up water systems, double check valves, brazed piping, and hub draining). • Work with hydronic piping, radiant or other. • Mechanical room layout capabilities. • Soldering and/or brazing of various piping: • Condensate • Refrigerant • Grooved connection (i.e. Victaulic) • Gas • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welder torch, and a motor vehicle; maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition; maintain parts and tool inventory. • Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required. • Attend all company and department meetings. • Proactively engage in all aspects of company safety program. • Complete time entry daily using appropriate payroll codes. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES: • Active Oregon state issued Plumber Journey Card. Additional Washington state issued Plumber Journey Card preferred. • Valid Oregon or Washington driver's license. • Working knowledge of • Copper Soldering • Commercial Plumbing Systems • Process Piping • Chilled Water Systems • Knowledge of building codes, ordinances, and regulations of State and local authorities pertaining to HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and controls. • Excellent communication and customer service skills with internal and external customers. • Follow oral and written instructions. • Continuous self-improvement and proactive mindset. • Willing to work in both a team setting as well as individually. • Flexible, accommodating, and adaptable to constant change. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • May be required to drive for long periods of time during a regular workday. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. • Occasionally climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other climbing devices. • Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather. • Operate specialized machinery (such as mechanical lifts, hanging equipment, motorized elevated work platforms, genie lifts, etc.), equipment and tools utilized in the repair, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. • Carry tools and equipment; work while in stooped, kneeling, crouched and crawling positions. • See naturally with or without correction, to safely perform designated tasks. • Ability to maintain focus while multi-tasking and continuously be aware of surroundings.
