Job Title Journeyman Pipefitter Location: Louisville, CO Reports to: Labor Managers and on-site Field Foreman Overview: The Journeyman Pipefitter ensures the Safety of those we work with and around, the Quality of the services we provide, and the realization of our Profitability goals as it specifically relates to the commercial installation, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of mechanical piping systems. Duties and Responsibilities: • Meet all requirements of a 4-year Apprentice • Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and skills necessary for the complete installation of projects common to the commercial HVAC/piping industry • Direct the activities of field crew member(s) in accordance with job schedules and priorities as coordinated with the project manager/customer/general contractor and field foreman as applicable • Submit daily job progress reports to supervisors as required • Responsible for ordering stock or fabricated materials as far in advance as possible either personally or through the site foreman to ensure completion of assigned tasks • Responsible for physical job site organization and housekeeping to ensure a safe professional work area • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment • Responsible for the accurate accounting of labor hours to the accounting department, material sheets, change orders, etc. • Responsible for instruction and on-the-job training of apprentices/crew members which includes emphasis on safety • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards.
