Master Gas Pipefitter

Luminous Electric is looking for a skilled and licensed Gas Plumber to join our growing team! Experience with generator installations is a plus, but a great attitude and strong work ethic are a must. The ideal candidate will have experience with residential plumbing systems and be familiar with the gas requirements for generator installations. A gas qualifier for the state of Florida is highly preferred; however, candidates must be capable and willing to obtain the qualification if not already held. What You’ll Do: • Install and maintain gas connections for whole-home standby generators. • Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and generator manufacturer guidelines • Collaborate with electrical teams to ensure seamless installation and functionality of the generator systems. • Apply for permits and schedule inspections when necessary. • Obtain and/or maintain gas qualifier certification for the state of Florida as required. • Maintain accurate records of all service calls, inspections, and installations. • Provide high-quality customer service by explaining technical details and addressing any concerns. What You Bring: • Active plumbing license in the state of Florida or the ability to transfer license from another state. • Gas qualifier for the state of Florida is preferred; ability to obtain FL gas qualifier upon hire is required if not already held. • Experience with residential gas and plumbing systems. • Knowledge or experience with whole-home standby generator systems is a plus. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. • Valid driver’s licensed and a clean driving record. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying outdoor conditions. • *This job is with an independent Generac dealer and not for employment with Generac Power Systems, Inc. Plumbing Maintenance • Thoroughly and accurately complete the Plumbing Evaluation form on each call. • Perform minor plumbing-related tasks when required. • Complete required warranty information. • Promote the sale of other products, service, or work with each client. • Looking for and turn in possible job leads to the Sales Department. • Complete service invoices and work orders properly • Keep your company truck clean, inside, and out. • Have and maintain a clean driving record. • Embrace and proactively seek out development opportunities through continued training (specifically weekly training meetings and special classes or seminars) and one-on-one coaching.
