Our employee benefits packages include: • Competitive pay including a quarterly bonus plan • Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription coverage • Paid vacation and holidays • 401(K) match • Life insurance, AD&D and long-term disability • Tuition reimbursement • Paid online training and state-of-the-art training facility to invest in YOUR career growth • Opportunities available nationwide • Employee discounts on vehicles, hotels, theme parks, select cell phone bills and so much more • Pet Insurance • Legal Plan, and ID Theft Protection SUMMARY This position is responsible for installation of HVAC systems including lay out of roof penetrations, ducting and the lay out of sheet metal fittings following customer specifications, applicable building code and proper piping practices Responsibilities • Provides support on HVAC construction job by reading and interpreting blueprints as needed by foreman to ensure a timely and quality completion of the project. • Provides the required laying out of the roof penetrations and ducting; and, laying out of the sheet metal fittings as directed by the foreman. • Provides assistance to the Construction foreman as needed on the job. • Provides support by coordinating and following job schedules; i.e., labor hours, and material costs. • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management Qualifications • High school diploma and trade or technical school classes; 4+ years experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience in commercial HVAC construction; and major market remodeling. • Knowledge of UMC/SMACNA requirements. • Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools. • Knowledge of refrigeration equipment • Knowledge of blueprints, detailing HVAC duct fittings. • Ability to grease duct weld, and complete minor electrical installation. • Ability to complete sheet metal layouts and fabrications, good mechanical skills. • Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations. • Knowledge of carpentry. • Knowledge of refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment. • Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigeration equipment. • Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical and plumbing. • Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers. • Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills. • Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. Performance Responsibilities: • Observes all safe work practices when using tools, equipment and chemicals. • Works effectively with, cooperates with, and supports other employees. • Uses district electronic work order system to perform work orders with minimal supervision. • Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase and maintains district owned plumbing tools and equipment. • Provides advice and recommendations to supervisor regarding preferred repair materials and carried inventory. • Advises Maintenance Manager if a work order or repair should be performed by outside contractors based on scope of work, materials required, or personal experience. • Repairs and maintains all pipes, drains, and plumbing fixtures in a safe and working condition. • Examines plumbing equipment and fixtures at all facilities on a regular basis for the purpose of preventive maintenance. • Understands and adheres to standard plumbing codes, federal, state, and local rules and regulations regarding safety codes, plumbing installation and maintenance. • Maintains a supply of generally used parts and materials in the school board vehicle. • Assists supervisor with training of new employees. • Performs other job-related functions as may be assigned.
