Laborer - construction

ECC is seeking candidates for a temporary Laborer - construction position at Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA. This is a temporary position starting in May and working over the summer, or if candidate is still available, may work until the end of the year. Must be able to work overtime as needed, this project works 10 hour days, six days a week. Candidates should be committed to working long days and weekends as needed. This position is responsible for performing general laborer duties for construction projects. In this position, you will: • Inspect construction debris trucks as they leave the job site to determine quantity of debris (Inspect, photograph and document the quantity of debris • Visit construction sites to document quantity of work being performed on unit price construction contracts (such as SF of gypsum board, SF of floor and ceiling tile, etc.) • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position Requirements • Apply basic knowledge of relevant principles and tools, as directed • Apply standard protocol for work, as directed • Communicate effectively by written and verbal means • Perform multiple concurrent tasks and meet timelines, as directed • Work well independently and as a team • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work 12 hour days • Ability to repetitively lift up to 40 pounds or 1/3 of your body weight • Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions including inclement weather • Education: High School diploma or GED is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. • Must be able to pass background check, drug test, and obtain base pass.
