Underground Construction Supervisor

‎ : A successful Underground Construction Supervisor shall be responsible for oversight of one or more underground telecommunication construction crews; responsible for ensuring that the installation, maintenance, and/or repair of a customer's telecommunications equipment is completed safely, timely, and accurately. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with excavation equipment, utility lines and poles, and the functionality of each; ability to use digger derrick and trenching equipment; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems. In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience: • the ability to work safely, with or without supervision • the ability to coordinate the activities of others • the ability to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods • the ability to work comfortably in cramped and/or enclosed spaces for extended periods • excellent manual dexterity • the ability to organize work load to determine priority of duties • the ability to read system maps and schematics • the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing • the ability to understand and operate equipment, including, but not limited to an digger derrick, trencher, and hand tools Responsibilities: • Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project • Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance • Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project ‎ : Qualifications: • Associates Degree in a related field or 3 years of related work experience • Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience • Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks • Authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check Workplace Environment and Physical Demands: To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Site/Construction Manager

Job Description Site/Construction Manager As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen. A Site/Construction Manager oversees construction projects from inception to completion. They manage all aspects of the project, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating resources. They collaborate with the Government, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders, ensuring the project meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. They are responsible for problem-solving, risk management, and ensuring timely project delivery within budget constraints. The Site/Construction manager is responsible for but not limited to planning, programming, administration, and management necessary to provide all maintenance, repair, construction and related services as specified. The Contractor shall conduct the work in strict accordance with the contract, to include the Contractor's proposal and all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, or directives. The Contractor shall insure that all work provided meets or exceeds critical reliability rates or tolerances specified or included in applicable specifications. The contractor shall provide all related Contractor administration services to perform the work such as supply functions, quality control, job order shop operations, Contractor financial control, preparing and submitting required reports, and submitting necessary information as specified under this contract and within individual task orders. Site/Construction Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: • Bachelor's Degree in related field, Engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), Construction Management, Project Management or Registered Architect (an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be considered to substitute for a bachelor's degree). Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (with USAF or military preferred; relevant technical certifications can be substituted for four years' experience) • Ability to read and interpret engineering, blueprints and architectural plans and specifications. • Ability to understand Government Statement of work (SOW) or Primary work statements (PWS). • Ability to understand Government construction task orders and execution of from cradle to grave. • Knowledge of Facility and Building systems- Roofing, Building Envelope, Interior Construction, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing), Building automation, etc. • Experience applying the Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria and Uniform Facilities Guide Specifications to complex facility construction projects. • Ability to coordinate access to facilities, set up briefings, and conduct interviews with facility personnel. • Ability to organize and gather project data, conduct analysis, prepare reports and provide recommendations without assistance. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Familiar with inputting data and producing reports from ACES-PM and NexGen IT. • Proficient with utilizing computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Autodesk AutoCAD 2013, etc.). • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) or have an active CAC or active clearance. • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
