Construction Foreman

Construction Foreman ReArch Construction’s geography is growing in Southern Vermont and New Hampshire, and we are seeking Foremen (or Forepersons) for our growing project base in Lebanon, NH and the Burlington, VT area. Reporting to ReArch’s Self-Perform Business Manager and working under the supervision of the site Superintendents, the Foreman assists with overseeing specific groups of workers or subcontractors on midsize to large commercial construction projects. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with workers and other supervisors to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of assigned tasks. You will be responsible for assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and promptly reporting any issues or concerns to the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. Additionally, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that workers have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials to successfully accomplish their assigned duties. The typical pay range for this position is $36-42/hour depending on experience. Candidates with Spanish language skills are highly desirable and may qualify for the higher end of this pay range. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience as a Project Foreman and vocational or technical training in carpentry; college degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field highly preferred. Successful candidates will be able to read plan sets, plan daily activities, be a strong communicator, provide sound guidance to subcontractors, plan material deliveries, keep the site clean, organized and safe, and assist with work activities as needed. Candidates must be skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools, and have a good understanding of safety procedures and guidelines. Bilingual skills are a plus! This position is physically demanding and requires constant standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting heavy materials. Construction Estimator

Construction Estimator Reporting to ReArch’s President, Estimators are responsible for preparing budgets, pre-bid packages, and full-scope estimates based on Design-Build and/or Construction Manager construction documents. In this role, you’ll work closely with general trades estimators and project management teams to develop schematics and construction document estimates, solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and scopes of work, issue notice of awards to subcontractors and suppliers, prepare quantity surveys, and review project plans and specifications for both large and small projects. Estimators critically analyze bid documents and liaise with management to communicate risks and opportunities. Periodic travel throughout Vermont and New Hampshire is a requirement in order to attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours and post-bid interviews. This position offers a starting salary range of $90,000-$110,000 per year. Additional compensation and benefits include up to a $5K sign-on bonus; discretionary annual bonus; employer 401K contributions; generous paid time off; and health, dental, vision, short/long term disability, life, and AD&D insurance. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in preconstruction/estimating on commercial construction projects. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related degree program is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and work experience in construction estimating will be considered. Strong estimating, budgeting, negotiating, presentation and interpersonal skills are a must. Knowledge and experience with civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, casework, doors, specialties, interior finishes, exterior building wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and sustainable and green building practices are desired.
