The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. The Laborer is responsible for the following: • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor • Maintains a clean jobsite, picks up tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards • Building / Demolition • Performs material handling and storage • Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, brings issues to the attention of the foreman and/or superintendent • Provides assistance to craft workers • Operate power tools • Able to take direction from management and/or senior craftsmen • Maintains a positive attitude • Provide a good work ethic and effort towards all assigned tasks • Able to be a team player • Willingness to learn new tasks • Share knowledge & help train others • Ability to communicate clearly with the team on the jobsite • Demonstrate consistent attendance on the jobsite Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. Hiring Requirements/Preferences • Prefer 1 year experience but willing to train the right individual • Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) and be within a 30-minute travel time. • Valid driver’s license required • Minimum tools required: tape measure, hammer & utility knife • OSHA 10 training preferred, but will provide • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Strong organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work • Experience with computers and technology a plus • Work independently with minimal supervision Other Duties • Working hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm.
