See More Details >>Job Summary: The Safety Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of safety programs and policies to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. This role involves compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies in compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations. - Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards. - Lead accident investigations and prepare reports on incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions. - Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices and emergency response procedures. - Collaborate with management to develop safety goals and objectives and monitor progress towards achieving them. - Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting workplace safety. - Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports, records, and safety manuals both physical and digital. - Foster a safety-first culture by promoting employee engagement and communication regarding safety issues. - Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns. - Coordinate with external agencies, contractors, and vendors regarding safety-related matters. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field preferred. - 5 years of experience in safety management or a related field. - Certification in safety (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or similar) is preferred. - In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety-related laws and standards. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. - Masonry-specific Hazards (e.g., silica dust exposure, working with heights, equipment operations, heavy material handling, etc.) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others. - Proficient in using safety management software and tools. Skills: - Leadership and team management abilities. - Strong organizational and project management skills. - Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. - Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations effectively. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
