Concrete Laborer/Cement Mason

Job Title: Concrete Laborer / Cement Mason Job Summary Responsible for preparing, placing, finishing, and curing concrete for construction projects such as sidewalks, driveways, floors, foundations, and curbs. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and knowledge of concrete materials and tools. Key Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints or project plans to determine job specifications • Set up forms and molds to shape concrete · Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools or power equipment · Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, floats, screeds, and other tools • Apply sealants, hardeners, or waterproofing treatments • Install reinforcements like wire mesh or rebar • Monitor curing process and protect surfaces from weather damage • Clean and maintain tools and work areas Skills & Qualifications • Experience with concrete tools and finishing techniques • Carpentry skills a plus • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions • Basic math and measurement skills • Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) · Certifications in OSHA safety or concrete finishing (a plus) Physical Demands • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting (often 50+ lbs) • Standing for long periods • Working outdoors in heat, cold, or rain[DD1] [DD1] Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Life insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: On the road
