Masonry Worker Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled Masonry Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various masonry techniques and be capable of working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. Duties • Construct, repair, and maintain structures made of brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other materials. • Apply stucco finishes and perform concrete finishing tasks as required. • Collaborate with project managers to assist in construction estimating and project planning. • Execute trim carpentry tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of masonry work. • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for material handling and site preparation. • Implement hardscape designs for outdoor spaces, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls. • Renovate existing structures by assessing damage and implementing effective repair solutions. • Perform frame carpentry and metal stud framing as part of building frameworks. • Install drywall as needed to complete interior spaces. Requirements • Proven experience as a Masonry Worker or similar role in the construction industry. • Proficiency in stucco application, concrete finishing, trim carpentry, heavy equipment operation, hardscape installation, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall installation is preferred. • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials regularly. • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications accurately. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry. MASONRY JOURNEYMAN

Mason Journeyman - Skilled We are currently seeking a Journeyman to join our Award-winning growing team. This is a full-time labor-intensive role with an opportunity to progress within the company. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform masonry to company's standard of quality, under the direction of the Foreman, according to the plans and specifications. Bring discrepancies and special conditions to the attention of the Project Manager. • Maintain a safe work environment, reinforcing a 'safety first' attitude with the team. Care for tools, equipment, materials, and job site. • Constructs, alters, repairs, and installs structures made of block, stone, brick, and concrete utilizing hand tools and power tools of the masonry trade. • Selects types of cement, plaster mortar, blocks, stone, or brick to be used. Sets stone, brick and block applying knowledge of stress and strain and ratio of mixes and bonds. • Measures and cuts stone, brick, and block according to specifications. • Reads and interprets specifications, sketches and/or blueprints as they pertain to masonry work. • Loads and unloads materials; erects and uses scaffolding. • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed. • Performs other duties as required. Requirements • * Able to meet all physical requirements. • Must have all required tools. • Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft). • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. • Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position. • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools • May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. We are currently seeking a Foreman to join our Award-winning growing team. This is a full-time labor-intensive role with an opportunity to progress within the company. Duties and Responsibilities • Manage varying Construction Projects and crew sizes through all phases of the building process. • Complete projects on time and under budget. • Ability to work within a pressured environment and cope with intense project deadlines. • A positive, can-do attitude is a must. • Report progress to the Superintendent and Project Manager. • Attend weekly meetings. • Order materials as required. • Maintain a safe work environment, reinforcing a 'safety first' attitude with the team. Care for tools, equipment, materials, and job site. • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed. • Performs other duties as required. Requirements • Proven experience as a Masonry Foreman - 5 years minimum • * Able to meet all physical requirements. • Must have all required tools. • Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft). • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. • Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position. • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. • Team player, and goal oriented. • Adaptable to varying projects. • Strong management and interpersonal skills with problem solving ability. • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools • Ability to read and interpret specifications, sketches and/or blueprints as they pertain to masonry work. • Utilize excellent organizational skills; keep a daily log, time sheets and fill out tickets. • Understanding of heritage masonry skills and techniques is a plus. • Experienced in Brick, block, concrete, and stone repair/replacement, stucco, EIFS and other Historic Masonry. • Experienced in waterproofing, caulking/sealant, and deck coatings. • Layout Experience is helpful. • Current Driver's License • Background check required. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • OSHA 30 Certification, Swing Stage Scaffold Certification, High Reach Operator Certification • Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst subcontractors and vendors. • Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution. • Historic Restoration Certificate provided by I.M.I. • Endurance and ability to visit the entire job site, including stair swings, scaffold, high reaches, or other elevated structures.
