Foreman

T&T Construction is hiring a Full Time Foreman to oversee multi-location job sites in the Easton, PA area. Purpose of the position: Continually evaluate the progress of each rebar placement to ensure that Safety, Quality, and rod setting Procedures are maintained in accordance with company policy and ASTM’s. Complete every rebar setting project ensuring that the total satisfaction of our customers and the goals of the company are achieved. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive experience is required with no less than 5 years’ experience as a Foreman. This position requires, the ability to read construction drawings, superior organizational, supervisory and communication skills. A self-motivated individual that is detail oriented with the ability to complete multiple tasks with consistency and accuracy. Exceptional follow-up skills are required, and the candidate should possess the ability to adapt to change and keep the project moving forward. Communication skills include verbal as well as written. PC skills include the use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, the internet, and familiarity with menu driven software is helpful. The capabilities to think ahead, identify and resolve potential problems is a must. Must provide or be able to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification and CPR/First Aid certification. Knowledge ASTM and standard building practices. Bilingual is a plus. Must have at least three years of experience as a Rodbuster. This position requires to travel and must have reliable transportation Goals: The Foreman is responsible for ensuring that the overall safety, quality, productivity and profitability of all rebar placement consistent with company policy and ASTM. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Safety • Perform audits to ensure that the Crew are adhering to company safety policies. • Assist Project Superintendents and Management in the investigation of incidents (vehicle accidents, personal injury, and general liabilities). • Administer corrective action on safety violations. • Ensure that proper safety equipment and PPE is available for crews. • Maintain training for all equipment required to perform your responsibilities. • Ensure that handrails and safe access are installed prior to setting rebar at elevated decks. • Perform and submit Toolbox talks to company safety representatives. • Ensure Toolbox Talks and vehicle/equipment maintenance is performed and submitted for official records as required. Quality • Ensure that work is performed that meets or exceeds customer expectations is built the first time, every time. • Spot-check shop drawings, addendums, and scope of work-related items, assuring proper installation of reinforcing. Scheduling and Productivity • Perform drawings preview • Determine manpower and equipment required for each job to meet the schedule and budget. • Lead and direct work of subcontractors/suppliers based on the schedule. • Prior to the start of the project, review Job Cost as it pertains to rebar placement budget. • Work directly with the Project Managers and General Superintendent to schedule rebar placement. • Work directly with the Purchasing Department to ensure equipment and materials are ordered and called off, as required. • Ensure that all time is submitted through WorkMax Application to a project and is accurately coded to the correct cost codes. • Plan and organize manpower and equipment resources efficiently by pre-surveying, forecasting of profit or loss, determine crew size and type, which reduces conflicts and resolve issues before construction. • Manage through leadership and effective communication. • Motivate and inspire employees through positive reinforcement and timely feedback on expected safety, quality and productivity related goals. • Hire field personnel in a manner consistent with the company’s policies and practices. • Provide resources to subordinates for opportunities for continuous training. • Foreman must be available. 24/7 and willing to travel. • Conduct annual written evaluations of subordinates.
