Construction Project Estimator

Do you want to be part of the Riley Construction Co., Inc. team? We are one of the fastest growing commercial construction companies in the Southeastern WI/Northern IL area and great things are happening! We currently have an opening for a qualified Project Estimator with the option to split time between Kenosha and Milwaukee. There will be a required 6-months training period in the Kenosha office. The Project Estimator analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects by performing the following duties. Leads project estimation process, partnering with a cross-functional team. Responsibilities: • Develop strong relationships with subcontractors to drive increased participation, return after not winning prior bid, and drive a two-way dialog to improve timely communications. • Review proposal specifications, drawings, contract documents, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of project estimate. • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and manhour figures. • Perform computerized quantity take-off and pricing of all assigned items. • Partners with Pre-Construction Coordinator to solicit proposals from subcontractors and material suppliers to complete project scope. • Participates in creating preliminary project schedule and/or budget, as requested. • Identify missing scope, uncertain scope, areas of risk (including subcontractor questions) and develop strategy to resolve issue/mitigate risk through architect, RFI, proposal clarification, input from project manager, project executive, superintendent, etc. • Apply production rates, labor/material/equipment costs, proper mark-up to RCCI self-performed work to establish cost estimate. • Review all final estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation. • Participate in final bid preparation and bid day activities, sometimes in partnership with other estimators and pre-construction coordinators. • Follow awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credits; procuring material, etc. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or similar discipline • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience • Strong math skills • Experience with commercial construction projects We offer a comprehensive benefits package, pleasant working environment and team atmosphere. CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

SUMMARY: BEAR is hiring a Construction Project Manager to handle needs for its Commercial projects (both new construction and rehab). The position requires a deep understanding of various project management skills. This person should be able to oversee all activities of multiple construction projects with the assistance of a site superintendent.
