Manual Machinist / Welder Fabricator

Position: Manual Machinist / Welder Fabricator Looking for a motivated individual to do manual machining, welding and fabrication work. Will need experience running a manual late, manual mill, wire feed welder, TIG welder, as well as cutting and grinding equipment. Must be able to use calipers, micrometers and various measuring tools to ensure accuracy of parts Must be able to accurately estimate time and materials to build replacement parts based on samples or drawings and be able to complete the work within the estimated time. Must maintain a clean and safe working environment and perform maintenance on machines as needed to ensure longevity and accurate performance. Perform other tasks as needed by management/supervisor. Pay starts at $25 per hour and once trained and acclimated to the work environment pay is based directly on job performance. Machine Operator I, Pre-Priming

Machine Op I, Pre-Prime Job Summary Machine Operators work on machines in the various departments within the production line. Operators can produce quality products safely and efficiently. Individuals placed in a Machine Operator position must be able to learn the sounds and mechanics of the machine on which they are operating. Most importantly, they can notice any possible malfunctions that may occur during the operating processes, while gaining technical knowledge on possible repair functions with higher-level machine operator positions. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: • Understand the operation of the equipment. • Maintains a correct record-keeping system to ensure production efficiency meets company standards • Understands the functions and processes for efficient operations. • Performs start-up procedure for equipment • Completes all duties and responsibilities following company safety and environmental policies. • Communicate with machine technicians to determine needs. • Maintains a safe and clean work area for both hygiene and safety. • Performs other duties as directed. Responsibilities: • Effectively operate the priming machine to reach production goals • Maintain an acceptable quality level • Ensure all quality checks are done regularly, including SPC and visual checks. • Covers other team members' machines while they are on lunch or breaks. Qualifications: • Experience – None, willing to train • Education – High School diploma or equivalent • Supervision received – Direct oversight by the Shift Supervisor. • Supervision exercised – none • Working conditions – Extreme noise, heat, cold, dust, dirt, and oil. • Mental and physical demands – Standing, lifting, carrying, speaking, listening, motor coordination skills, coordination of eyes, hands, and feet. • Confidential data – Access to intellectual property must remain confidential and cannot be reproduced. • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and background check (looking for felonies) before being able to start.
