Cabinet Installer We are a high end, custom cabinet shop looking for a talented cabinet installer. This candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to manage their time in order to complete work assigned within scheduled time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Must be organized, have attention to detail and possess the ability to carry out a variety of functions within a specific time frame • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math and interpret work instructions. • Must be able to work in a team environment. • Must be able to lift heavy objects and will stand for full shift of work. • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required. • Must be able to read measuring and layout equipment and have basic knowledge of hand and power tools. • Assembles units by attaching parts and components using fasteners and adhesives; verifying dimensions and having the ability to modify parts if necessary. • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards and policies. • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures. Must be able to perform preventative maintenance. • Documents productions by completing forms, reports, logs and records. Education and Experience: • A minimum of 2 years of building/installing cabinetry or millwork. Our carpenters take parts that have been cut out on our CNC machine and assemble them into finished structures. Most of the things we build get covered in Formica type laminate for durability. We then stage the custom elements in our setup area for final inspection before packing them up to be shipped to the site for installation. Everything we build is custom and one-off, so no mundane same-thing-day-in-and-day-out assembly line work. Installers take the custom millwork we design and fabricate and install them at our customers' facilities. Most of our projects are within a day's drive of Birmingham and many of them are local. There is a lot of travel required for installers, but we try our best to get you home for the weekends. Also, we rotate who has to travel overnight and who gets to work on local jobs, so you're not always on the road if you don't want to be. Our 140,000 square foot facility is conveniently located in East Birmingham near Trussville. Our custom production team works 5 day, 40-hour workweeks in an indoor facility with the option for overtime when things get really busy (like they are now!)
