How will you contribute to our team As an Origination Manager, your primary responsibilities will encompass: • Driving greenfield renewables project origination initiatives on wind, solar, and storage projects. • Conducting market monitoring and intelligence gathering and analysis to identify project investment opportunities tailored to client needs. • Managing client relationships and engaging in dialogue to identify and define investment criteria and communicating project opportunities tailored to these investment criteria. • Presenting final project envelopes to investment managers for approval. Your day-to-day responsibilities As an Origination Manager, you are responsible for identifying project opportunities based on requirements from investors. These may include IRR requirements, risk profile, offtake (tenure, volumes), timeline, CAPEX requirements, including equity deployment requirements, and project types, including technology type and whether it is looking at greenfield, repowering or acquisitions. You job will be to work with the existing highly skilled Origination team to translate investment requirements into investment opportunities and present these to our investors. This will include: • Conduct analysis and review project fundamentals, including: • Screen for suitable sites to host a wind, solar and battery projects. • Review environmental, permitting and land risks and potential obstacles. • Assess and define project economics and financial metrics, such as LCoE, IRR, capture prices, CAPEX/OPEX etc. • Analyze interconnection options and review risks of congestion and curtailment. • Work with specialists from other departments to assess project fundamentals in detail. • Create reporting and presentation materials about project opportunities and present these to investors. • Contribute to a positive work environment within the department. • Categorize and monitor origination leads to ensure a sufficient pipeline of projects is always available. • Collaborate with development directors and investment managers to define project opportunities and ensure alignment on the types of projects to be originated. • Manage a stage gate process for the generated project leads. Support the handover to the development department, who will progress the project though development until the FID.
