::: {ui="careers-page-content"} ::: {role="main"} ::: section ## Description The Large Corrective Wind Technician role is responsible for performing maintenance and repair activities on wind turbines. They primarily focus on replacing major components of the wind turbines, including blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch bearings, and hubs, when necessary. In addition to component replacement, the technician is also responsible for assisting in the dismantling, erection, alignment, and adjustment of machinery and equipment in accordance with work instructions. This involves working with hand and power tools, measuring and testing equipment, and rigging equipment, among other tools. Essential Functions Statement(s) Troubleshoot and repair significant corrective operational issues on utility-sized wind turbines per the project description. Conduct heavy rigging operations to facilitate replacement components. Perform all large component exchanges in accordance with specified procedures. Perform repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical component replacements to correct malfunctions. Properly utilize and maintain all mandated safety equipment. Represent the company culture of safety, quality, and integrity daily. Comply with all safety rules in accordance with company, customer, and government regulations and guidelines. Accurately complete and submit required service reports, timecards, expense reports, and other required company reports in a timely manner for the onsite team. Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development. ::: ::: section ## Requirements Position Qualifications • One year of experience doing large corrective work • Fundamental electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills • Ability to read and understand schematics by various wind turbine manufacturers • Ability to climb 300 feet or more regularly • Completion of all required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe • Ability to lead and participate in on-the-job training with on-site personnel • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed • Ability to Regularly work 50+ hours a week • Basic computer skills • Ability to travel for up to 6 weeks at a time • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly • Ability to work in inclement weather Education and Experience High School Diploma OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, and Tower Rescue certificates preferred Must have a valid drivers license The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
