Job Description As the Field Service Engineer - Thermal Fleet, you will be the leading technical expert for operations and maintenance of instrumentation and controls equipment, and control system operations philosophy for the fleet. Responsibilities • Provide oversight and hands on technical expertise during plant outages, forced and planned, as needed to assist plant staff in returning units to service. • Establish a working relationship and regular dialog with I&C Technicians at each site to foster an environment that seeks to improve systems to improve the fleet. • Participate in the development process for upcoming thermal projects. • Provide oversight of commissioning and testing of control systems at operating sites; including new construction and existing site upgrades. This at times will include extended periods of time on site during commissioning and tuning of control systems. • Work with plant staff to monitor and recommend control system equipment upgrade strategies and schedules for existing thermal projects. • Travel 25-35% of the time.
