Renewable Energy Superintendant

Engineering, Procurement and Construction Superintendents are responsible for the assigned project site and the daily activities of contractors working on the site to exceed the expectations of external and internal clients. This position leads job site supervision, coordination and performance of all project disciplines in accordance with contractual requirements including (but not limited to), on-site coordination, safety, scheduling, construction quality control, cost management, labor management, equipment procurement and delivery, and on-site client contact. Ideal candidates have a history of effectively managing large projects, and/or multiple medium-to-large projects, while routinely meeting and beating estimated job costs. Ideal candidates also have a complete understanding of construction documents and specifications including scope of work for all subcontractors, and the ability to organize and direct a project to completion. Has a complete understanding of construction documents and specifications for assigned project(s) including all subcontractors’ scope of work. • Administers contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other agreements to ensure that the scope, terms and conditions are consistently and proactively being met. • Manages changes in project scope to ensure that the most current contract documents are being used at all times to prevent avoidable rework. • Ensure no changes in any form of agreement or to the project scope without authorization to proceed from project leadership. • Maintains, tracks, verifies, and updates project files and paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, “As-Built” drawings, submittal verification/shop drawings, RFI, layout, and project correspondence. • Manages and or supports the closeout of a project, to include but not limited to Punch lists, Start-Up, and CX of Systems. • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. • Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change. • Supports all areas of FTI's business interests. • Supports pre-construction efforts in the overall budgeting and strategy of project execution. • May be assigned to multiple projects, depending on size, complexity, and phase each project is in. • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

How Your Role Fits Into Boldt The purpose of the Senior Safety Manager is to create, inspire, and maintain a “Safe Thinking” safety culture. This position will assist in leading, directing, facilitating, and supporting project “Safe Thinking” safety initiatives for an operating group or office. The Senior Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the completion of safety audits and inspections as well as all required internal and external reporting obligations are met, including monthly reporting of site safety metrics. Through planning, leading, evaluating, and continuously improving the awareness and practice of safe construction methods, the manager will strive to create an environment encouraging a collaborative working spirit and an integrated culture. What You Get To Do • Collaborate with site leadership and safety professionals to outline safety goals for the project. Coordinate with subcontractors to understand their safety requirements and embed into the company’s plan as needed. • Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and collaboration with department leadership. • Participate in developing and conducting staff and craft safety orientation training programs to include forklift, fall protection, respiratory, confined space, etc. • Participate in developing and conducting training to ensure appropriate inspection, maintenance, use of tools and specialty safety equipment. • Direct project pre-planning, including Safety Task Analysis (STA) and Job Hazards Assessment (JHA) prior to project mobilization. • Create and provide safety guides to ensure appropriate use of tools. • Conduct work area inspections and audits to ensure continued compliance. • Ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to at assigned location. • Complete and track weekly, monthly, and annual inspections of equipment to ensure continued compliance. • Partner with site leadership in the investigation and documentation of all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities. • Coordinate with senior safety leadership in preparing written appeals for safety violation citations. • Coordinate with internal and external resources in handling worker’s compensation cases. Employ strategies to avoid loss-time accidents and utilization of the benefits. • Ensure the work of the safety team is being completed in accordance with expectations and internal standards. • Create and maintain relationships with job site employees to ensure safety program alignment and accountability for reporting safety issues. • Ensure Project Lifecycle Safety Planning is completed by safety professionals. • Complete employee resource planning for projects to ensure appropriate staffing. • Establish locational standard methodologies and communicate with other Boldt locations to improve practices. • Manage safety plans and goals to ensure objectives are being met. Develop plans to assist team in meeting goals. • Assist in vendor selection. Pilot new safety products and provide recommendations for implementation as appropriate. • Oversee planning for high-risk activities. • Act as a safety resource and mentor for project staff. • Lead and develop a team of individuals. • Support employee development through mentoring, training, and performance management What We Expect From You • Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety and/or health required. • At least seven years’ experience in construction and/or industrial safety required. • First aid and/or CPR certification preferred. • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification preferred. • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee occasionally uses computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to position self to maneuver in confined or awkward spaces. The employee regularly is required to remain in a stationary position and move to access people or machinery or workspaces. Employee is occasionally required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas. The employee must regularly move up to 20 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will be traveling nationwide as needed, and based out of our Appleton, WI office.
