POSITION SUMMARY TRC is seeking a highly motivated Renewables Project Manager (PM) for our growing Engineering, Construction - Remediation team in the Midwest. The PM can be based out of Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus, OH, Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor, MI, or Chicago, IL. The PM will provide support in two primary areas: project management and engineering support. This position would be part of a very skilled team that works closely with Account Managers and other technical leads providing technical support for renewable project development. The PM will provide support in managing and driving the full spectrum of consulting services required throughout the project life cycle and help to ensure the capture of follow-on work opportunities in our existing projects. The PM will also support day-to-day operations of client accounts and cross-platforming of complex projects, including client relationship, proposal delivery, project staffing needs, work execution on client-s schedule, QA/QC of work product, and project delivery. As part of the PM responsibilities, the PM will support the development of project management tools, systems, processes and strategies to support renewables work at TRC. Engineering Support • The PM will provide technical support to account leads and senior project managers as they oversee the execution of renewable energy projects at TRC. The PM will help further efforts to align TRC engineering resources on scope, pricing and schedule for proposals and projects and to develop market-aligned benchmarks for renewables services. Specific Activities • Manage projects, leading teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements; • Provide technical leadership, coordinate project workflows, manage financial performance and contribute to reporting; • Develop proposals resulting in the award of new work; • Engage with internal and external service providers to develop scope, budget and schedule using platforms, tools and approaches approved by the Renewable Energy team; • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed personally, as well as projects and tasks managed by others. Responsible for implementation of quality procedures at project and task levels; • Support the development of new business opportunities with existing and new clients; • Participate in key trade organizations and in the marketplace; • Support project and account leadership to further align TRC resources on scope, pricing and schedule and to develop market-aligned benchmarks for renewables services with research and analysis. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline from an accredited university. • Strong capability to interact with team members and clients. • Minimum 5 years of renewable energy development experience in the mid-west region of the United States (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, etc.) • 5+ years of experience of consulting experience on environmental projects, experience in renewables a plus. • Excellent attitude and ability to work well within a team environment. • Excellent technical writing, communication, and computer skills. • Must have a sense of urgency, be self-motivated, and can prioritize tasks. • Ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities. • Ability to manage time independently and to work effectively on a project team. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Valid driver-s license.
