The I&E Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and development of systems such as motor controls, distributed controls, PLCs, communications systems (satellite, cellular, RF), SCADA operations, and other technical issues as they arise. This role also includes daily monitoring of pipeline and compressor station operations, while overseeing critical equipment across regulated pipeline systems. Additionally, the technician may provide support to construction, measurement, and communications teams as needed. Key Responsibilities: • Continuously monitor the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system 24/7. • Perform routine operations and maintenance for systems and plants. • Report any unsafe conditions or situations that may compromise the integrity of Northern Biogas equipment or facilities. • Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees. • Conduct necessary repairs, prioritizing safety and feasibility. • Maintain scheduled preventive maintenance programs for instrumentation and electrical equipment. • Provide support for automation as required. • Work with chromatographs and moisture analyzers. • Assist with compressor station operations and automation tasks. • Perform both minor and major electrical and software maintenance. • Maintain accurate records of equipment shutdowns and safety checks. • Keep process safety management documentation up-to-date. • Operate and maintain company vehicles, ensuring their safety and functionality. • Take responsibility for the maintenance and care of technician-issued tools and equipment. • Be on call regularly, with availability to work weekends as needed. • Order electrical and electronic parts as required.
