Work Experience Requirements • Relevant experience required, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. 1+ year experience as Wind Technician preferred. Experience performing maintenance tasks preferred. • Must have basic electrical and mechanical knowledge and be able to troubleshoot issues and find the root cause of the problem. • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret Engineering Change Orders, repair manuals, blueprints and schematics • Must have knowledge of electrical principles and concepts. • Ability to use various hand and power tools, measuring devices, testing devices and equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic problems preferred. • Electrical testing experience preferred. • Ability to work independently and take initiative to accomplish tasks. • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time, work extended hours as necessary and be available to travel on short notice. • Must be able to work in adverse and extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces. • Must have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. • Must be Service-oriented with good communication and organizational skills and be detail oriented. • Ability to read and speak Spanish preferred. • The candidate needs to have the ability to climb wind turbine towers up to 300 feet in height, up to 3 times a day and the ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight (50+ lbs) Academic Requirements • Associate Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical degree required.
