Responsibilities, Functions, and Tasks • Coordinate the activities of the Field Service Technicians. Act as the liaison between the Technicians, customers and WindGen Business Unit. Maintain continuous communication with technicians resolve any issues. • Plan, direct and manage the scheduling of the Service Technician activities from assignment to assignment. Ensure that jobs are staffed appropriately and that the technicians understand length of assignment and responsibility of the job. Complete and maintain required and accurate documentation and records associated with the performed activities. • Make sure that Technicians have needed tools and supplies to perform jobs. • Coordinate and ensure that the technicians receive the proper training and equipment needed for assignments. Manage inventory of supplies, including handling of tools, equipment and PPE. • Maintain constant communication with customers to ensure that jobs completed by Technicians are done satisfactorily to customers’ needs. Address and resolve any issues or concerns with employees and customer or assist Global Field Service Manager in resolving issues. • Visit technicians to ensure customer and WindGen Business Unit needs are being met and that safety procedures are adhered to. Perform audits, risk assessments and incident investigations which identify and take account of all relevant hazards in collaboration with the H&S department. • Approve Technicians’ daily timesheets and ensure Technicians complete timesheets appropriately. • Promote culture of continuous H&S improvement and to share good practice across the company. • Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies, and procedures. • Perform any other duties as assigned. • Able to travel to site and support team and customer as necessary. Work Experience Requirements • Experience coordinating the work of a remote team of Field or Service Technicians preferred. • 2+ years experience in the Maintenance Service sector, including Wind Energy Projects or other energy related operations and maintenance industries preferred. • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the US renewable energy market and Quality, and H&S legislation and regulations pertaining to Wind Energy Service market. • Must possess/Recommended basic knowledge of generators, power converters and electronics • Must have excellent problem-solving, customer service, management, leadership and organizational skills and be able to communicate effectively with employees and all levels of management. • Must possess knowledge of EH&S regulations required for Technicians to work on wind farms. • Must be results oriented, have initiative and drive and have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
