A DAY IN THE LIFE: In this position, you’ll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines. During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. At this site near Port Hardy, BC, you will typically have shifts 5 days a week at 8-10 hours a day. You will also have an on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours (weekends). The team here normally works in teams of 2-3, will typically climb 1-2 turbines a day, and will travel a minimum of 25% per year. This site is an extremely unique and remote location on the north end of Vancouver Island surrounded by authentic, unspoiled nature.
