Senior Mechanical Engineer - Wind Turbine Load Carrying Structures (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS: • Support in the definition of the concept, detailed design and continuous improvements for the Load Carrying and Enclosure (LCE) sub-components: machinery frames and fiber enclosure parts • Participation in cross functional project meetings representing the LCE system • Gather information related to the LCE components through the whole Wind Turbine life cycle • Collaborate in the LCE system DFMEA, as well as coordination of the identified actions • Participate on the definition of the LCE validation plan • Support RCA (Root Case Analysis) for field investigations related to the LCE system YOUR PROFILE: • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable university degree • Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work across different teams. Project management experience is an advantage. • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the wind energy sector, being a plus if specifically related to load carrying structures (e.g casting, forged, welding, bolting, and fiber components) • Fluent in English (written and spoken) • DFMEA development expertise, with a structured approach to risk assessment and mitigation will be positively considered • Experience in TeamCenter is a plus. • Availability to travel. Tower and Foundation (TOF) System Reliability & Development Engineer (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS: • Mechanical Engineer dedicated to the reliability of the TOF system (prototype validation + field investigations), development of the DFMEA and system documentation. • The System "Tower and Foundation" is technically responsible for the full lifecycle of the support structure components of the WTG and System reliability performance studies for prototype turbines/towers under validation and for turbines/towers in operation. • Direct support to System lead regarding the supervision and maintenance of design bases Support to development of the TOF system DFMEA, as well as coordination of the identified actions. • Support to System Design Team for the documentation and planning together with the tower development project engineer. • Support to RCA for field investigations related with the TOF system and ensuring experiences are available to TOF system and included in design bases. • Identification of design improvements in combination with the outcome from the reliability studies. • Participation in project meetings representing the TOF system. • Definition of the TOF system validation plan for new turbines/tower developments together with the System Lead. YOUR PROFILE: • Completed diploma, master's or doctorate in civil or mechanical engineering. • Knowledge and experience in development of load carrying support structures (steel, concrete, welding, bolts) in wind industry. • Knowledge of relevant body of standards. • Ability to work independently, and systematically. • Assertive and confident appearance, strong team spirit. • Project Management skills will be valued. • Good written and spoken English. Ideally skills in German and Spanish. • Experience: 5+ years in the wind turbine sector, specifically with design and validation of wind turbine support structures. • Availability to travel. Engineer Load Calculation Sites (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS: • Planning and execution of load assessment tasks within the serive sales projects, i.e. site-specific load calculations for assess wind conditions by using advance aero-elastic dynamic simulation software such as Bladed and/or approximation tools. • Optimizing controller functions as well as supporting in the different component`s design in a multidisciplinary team. • Documentation of results and their assessment in technical reports. • Support of service projetcs and project work according to Nordex project management system. • Support on the continuous development and improvement of the toolchain and methodologies. YOUR PROFILE: • M. Sc. of equivalent in Mechanical engineering/psysics or similar with specialization dynamics and simulation or renewable energy. • Project Management professional experience on related tasks regarding aerodynamic simulation. • Good knowlodge of dynmic simulations of complex systems in an industrial application with tools as e.g. Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5...as well as for fatigue analysis methodologies and/or structure dynamics. • Optionally additional skills on usage of automatization tools preferable. • Good tema player and very good interpersonal skills, strong communicator. • Dynamism and flexibility in a shifting daily work. • English fluently. • 2 years' experience. • Availability to travel.
