Description Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability, and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas. We are looking for an experienced Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for a strong infrastructure. You will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of various kinds of metal and their properties is essential. You will report to the Fabrication Supervisor Responsibilities • Read and understand weld prints provided • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements • Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements) • Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces • Can weld together small parts, crossmembers, and plate steel • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws • Can operate the following equipment: Band saw, Drill Press, Pallet Jack, and Hand Truck Qualifications • Be at least 18 years of age. • 2+ years of experience as a welder • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.) • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • Can use 110v/220v MIG welder .023" • Be able to acquire Industry Certifications Benefits • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) • Retirement Plan (401k) company matches up to 4% of employee contributions • Vacation (up to 40 hours Vacation time accrued in years 1-3, pro-rated in year 1 based on start date) • Paid Sick Leave • 8 paid holidays per calendar year Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and background check It is our policy to provide equal employment opportunities for all applicants.
