Aluminum Welder Paying $28 - $35 Location - Vancouver, WA These positions are open due to the Maneuver Support Vessel (MSV) project. They will be making 32 of these ships over the next 10 years. Currently they are working on the construction of the prototypes. All of these ships are being built for the army. The ships are used to transport military vehicles. Responsibilities: • Must have experience on aluminum. • Must be able to describe this experience and pass a weld test. • Read blueprints and weld to specific instructions • On the job welding and fabricating on aluminum in and out of position. • MIG experience is a requirement and pulse arc experience is preferred • Welding in multiple positions is preferred. Qualifications: • Prior welding experience on aluminum. • Ability to read blueprints and ability to pass fracture tested weld tests. Environment/ Shift: • Large scale manufacturer of structural steel and aluminum parts for government work including: bridges, dams, nuclear sites, boats and barges. • Steel toed boots and safety glasses. • Clean shop that works almost exclusively with aluminum a majority of the time. • Day shift: 5:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
