Must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience in Iron Work and know how to set structural steel, erect PEMB, and sheath and roof metal buildings. Certified Welders are a big plus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Constructs and erects structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings and other metal structures. • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. • Fits, rigs, bolts and welds metal parts and sections. • Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. • Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. • Inspects ceiling or metal structures, metal roofing, metal siding, and other components of metal buildings to detect broken or damaged structures. • Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. • Cleans up worksite debris.
