Installer Electrical Apprentice - Twin Cities

Installer/Electrical Apprentice - Twin Cities | Eligible for up to $30+/hr in base and bonus pay! Description The Solar Installer is responsible for hands-on system installation, ensuring site safety, prepping job sites, providing high-quality and an exceptional customer experience, and assisting in resolving on-site issues as needed. This role is hands-on and growth-oriented for candidates interested in the solar industry or electrical field of work. Solar Installers become registered as Unlicensed Electrical Apprentices and their hours accrue towards qualification as Journeyworker Electrician license, should they so desire to pursue that route. Responsibilities & Essential Functions • Perform physical installation of systems/equipment (including but not limited to wire management, mounting, and assembling). • Use power tools, ladders, digging equipment, and other tools while adhering to safety plans and guidelines. • Communicate with clients, supervisors, and other applicable stakeholders regarding project status. • Identify and resolve issues that arise during installations. • Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and safe. • Prepare job sites for installations. • Maintain security of equipment issued to each project and notify supervisor of discrepancies or damages. • Adhere to and enforce Site Safety Plans to ensure crew and own safety. Other Duties • Other duties and tasks as assigned by management. Skills/Qualifications • Experience working with hand tools and power tools (preferred). • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills. • Thrives in a team environment. • Resourceful and creative. • Positive and professional demeanor. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. • Must complete and clear an MVR (motor vehicle report) background screen and be able to successfully drive a company vehicle and/or trailer for work related purposes. • Must complete, acquire, and maintain DOT Medical certification. Physical Requirements • Comfortable working extended hours in extreme environments/climate (cold, heat, wind, etc) (frequent). • Regularly encounter pitched roofs, at heights (with proper safety gear). • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting (frequent). • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs. at a time (frequent). • Must be able to transport and drive for short and long distances for work related events/job sites and be able to travel with crew for occasional overnight, or multiple night, trips within our service area (including but not limited to: MN, WI, IA, SD, ND, NE). Compensation & Benefits • This is a full-time non-exempt hourly (over time eligible) position, eligible for up to $30.00+ hourly in base and productivity incentive bonus pay (depending on qualifications & experience). Description All Energy Solar is seeking a full-time Journeyworker Service Electrician to join our team. The Journeyworker Service Electrician will cooperate with installation crews as well as perform the necessary tasks required to ensure the safe and successful operation of residential and commercial solar electric and storage systems. The work generally consists of indoor work, outdoor ground-level work, and minimal roof work. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Install grid tied solar electric systems (primarily assigned to servicing of these systems) Install or service battery backup hybrid solar systems and EV Chargers (Tesla, Enphase, etc.). Provide service upgrades. Install, test, and confirm solar system monitoring. Complete all work to current NEC codes. Perform commissioning and attend shutdowns and inspections as needed. Take responsibility for personal and electrical safety on the job site by following and enforcing all safety regulations. Adherence and compliance to all safety activities and requirements. Proficient 2023 NEC code knowledge. Proficient in conduit bending (¾ to 2 ). Ability to accurately read and understand blueprints. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven technology skills (mobile email, uploading pictures, navigating various apps, time and attendance entries). Able to travel occasionally based on business and operational needs (10% of time with company accommodations such as paid hotel and per diem). Portrays a high level of professionalism and a positive demeanor. Valid State driver's license and clean acceptable driving record (must clear an MVR background screening).
