McCarthy is hiring full-time Solar Installers for the construction of a solar facility located in Lake Creek, TX. Job Summary The Solar Installer is part of the team that is largely responsible for the safe and successful installation of various solar equipment. The Solar Installer will utilize a wide variety of tools and machines to assemble and construct the solar equipment based on the scheduled work plans. The Solar Installer may also be assigned additional duties on the job as required by the project leadership. Key Responsibilities • Follow safety policies and procedures. • Maintain a clean job site and shake out material to the field. • Bolt up clamps for solar panels. • Hoist torque tubes into position and align/secure torque tubes. • Set drive motors. • Installation of dampeners and linkage between drive motors. • Set and install solar modules. • Tighten bolts to the proper torque specifications. • Receive/stock materials and maintain accurate inventory. • Quality control for the scope of work. • When using equipment fill out equipment checklist and verify all items are in good working order, if not report the issue prior to damage occurring. Follow up with supervisor continually if not addressed. • Maintain tools used for installation to ensure they are in proper working condition and return tools at the end of work shift. • General cleanup of materials and debris. • Ability to work in a production environment where daily production goals are set, evaluated, and optimized • All other duties assigned by site leadership Qualifications • Experience with solar construction projects preferred but not required. • Prior experience using various tools that are required to install mechanical assemblies. • Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of material weighing 50 lbs. • Ability to squat, crawl and work in awkward positions and confined spaces. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation. • Unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception. • Self-motivated and takes initiative. • Ability to work well with others in a team environment. • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. • Age 18+ • Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization McCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.

Solar Field Service Technician (Paris, TX)

About the position The Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) at SOLV Energy is responsible for performing field maintenance and ensuring safe work practices in the solar industry. This entry-level position involves servicing solar equipment, conducting basic testing and troubleshooting, and responding to emergency repairs under supervision. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration on process improvements while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities • Ensure all employees follow safe practices while working. • Work safely under all circumstances and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks. • Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling. • Service solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision. • Perform basic solar equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks under supervision. • Replace or repair solar parts and/or equipment under supervision. • Respond 'on-call' to assist in emergency equipment repairs as directed by supervisor. • Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed. • Complete other responsibilities as assigned. • Assess and suggest improved processes and collaborate on new technologies with EPC management. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED; Vocational/Technical School training is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment through training or previous experience. • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Ability to identify and perform effective Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systems. • Basic understanding of a solar installation/plant. • Basic knowledge of testing equipment. • Basic computer operation skills. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. • Obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification. • Remain current in all safety and technical trainings. • Effective verbal and written English communication skills. • Effective organizational skills. • Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions. • Ability to work on an 'on call' basis, including weekends or after-hours situations. • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
