Maintenance Technician

Department • Plant Maintenance Work Schedule • Regularly scheduled Monday - Friday Day shift. • Must be available for overtime work and/or on a call‐in basis as required. • The plant is operational 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. Location: Production facility in Sutherland, Nebraska. FLSA Status: Non Exempt. Hourly or Salary: Hourly / $20.00 per hour or depending on experience. Full or Part‐Time: Full-Time. Summary • Maintained all areas of the ethanol plant, maintained spare parts inventory, and maximized production through creative problem-solving. • Participate in plant projects as assigned. • Perform rotating equipment alignment. • Responsible for hydraulic operations and equipment. • Proficient with hand tools. Plant Maintenance Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Support plant operations ensuring maximum production quantity and quality while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company. • Responsible for mechanical systems preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. • Assists with diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance-related issues. • Required to use hand tools, power tools, forklifts, gauges, measurement tools, P&ID, and manuals. • Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness. • Be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis. • Maintain and enforce all safety policies and procedures. • Coordinate and support maintenance personnel to achieve completion of workload. • Coordinate and discuss plans with the Maintenance Supervisor to maximize performance. • Execute the preventive maintenance schedule for process equipment. • Conduct inspections of equipment, tanks, vessels, and boilers. • Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and respond to the needs of the Shift Supervisor on duty. • Maintain the spare parts inventory. • Work closely with production and lead staff in training to reduce or eliminate downtime. • Support efforts to maximize production through creative problem-solving and adaptation. • Complete all tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager. • Understand electrical to help assist the Maintenance Electrical Technician. • Replace or repair conveyor systems. • Maintain facility and grounds in a clean, well-kept, and efficient manner. • Promote MRE in the community. Mandatory Qualifications • Have knowledge of maintenance procedures. Preferred Qualifications • Have knowledge of maintenance procedures for centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chiller, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, and equipment, and 4-20 milliamp instrumentation.
