Basic Job Functions: • The Facility Technician will support Facilities and Maintenance operations with day-to-day maintenance and repairs of facility building equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner. • The successful individual will have a broad knowledge of facility equipment, working knowledge of maintenance operations and a problem solver. Education/Experience: • High School diploma or GED and at least 5 years in a manufacturing setting or relevant experience or • Skilled Electrical or Mechanical Trade experience with 3 years in a manufacturing setting or relevant experience or • Associate degree in a technical discipline with 3 years in a manufacturing setting or relevant experience. • Must be mechanically inclined with solid working knowledge of facilities systems. • Demonstrated experience with commercial building utility power, air compressors, emergency generators, plumbing, fire detection or facility systems. • Able to detect and resolve problems using professional knowledge and strong problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of MAXIMO CMMS. Required Skills/Competencies: • Knowledge of building electrical, mechanical and HVAC with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. • Knowledge of OSHA 70E Arc Flash programs and LOTO. • Knowledge of facility Building Management Systems, access control, security, life safety, and fire systems. • Experience with blueprints, equipment manuals, specifications and equipment trouble shooting. • Hands on position working with tools to accomplish repairs. • Ability to work with little supervision. • Demonstrated troubleshooting skill. • Excellent communications skills. • A team player with the ability to work well with internal and external teams.
