Job Overview: Solar Liberty is seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical work, with a strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing solar energy systems at residential, commercial, and utility-scale sites. Field experience in electrical systems is highly preferred. A license is a plus but not required. Core Responsibilities • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment. • Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules. • Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment. • Testing/troubleshooting installed Solar equipment and ensuring proper working order. • Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). • Able work in a solo as well as a group environment. • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
