Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Machining, Sheet Metal, and Tool Design#25-75804 $43.87-$48.57 per hour Waterloo, IA All On-site Job Description Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Machining, Sheet Metal, and Tool DesignMajor PurposePlans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operates and may act as lead person in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of broad scope and responsibility or a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process requiring great depth of engineering knowledge; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors, suppliers and other engineers. Provides technical consultation and a knowledge base, is recognized as an expert within, or outside, a unit for a specific process, function or product line. This level may have supervisory responsibility for up to three employees within a technical discipline.Major Duties? Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.? Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.? Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to inform engineering work in the organization and/or of its suppliers, contractors, and consultants.? Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and specify the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.? Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.? Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.? Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.? Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products.? Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.? Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Position Title: Tool Room Master Coordinator Scheduler Planner Specific Position Requirements: Job Title: Tool Room Master Coordinator Scheduler Planner Work Details: Max bill rate: ***/hour 1st shift, flexible start time (6-8 AM); must be consistent and work a full 8-hour day. Overtime: Dependent on production levels. Onsite only (no remote). Business casual dress code. Interview preference: Onsite; Teams interview may be considered. Physical Requirements: ~50% time spent on feet within the factory. Will drive a *** Gator inside the factory (after safety training is completed). May use personal vehicle for traveling to other Waterloo facilities. Key Skills & Experience Required: 2-4+ years manufacturing experience (particularly in metal CNC turning, milling, and grind operations) 2-4+ years experience in blueprint/model interpretation for manufacturing processes Knowledge of materials, heat treatment, and surface finishes/coatings for tools, fixtures, special machines Hands-on CNC machine programming experience Strong proficiency in: MS Outlook MS Excel MS Word MS PowerPoint Other Notes: See attachment for detailed duties/requirements.
