Project Sales/Project Manager - Sheet Metal

Objective We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Project Sales / Project Manager to join our sheet metal team. This hybrid role combines business development, estimating, and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in both commercial and industrial sheet metal projects, and be equally comfortable pursuing new opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and overseeing projects from concept through completion. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: _ Business Development & Sales_ • Identify and pursue new project opportunities through cold calling, networking, and relationship building. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, engineers, and owners. • Prepare and deliver proposals, bids, and presentations to secure work. Estimating • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate estimates for commercial and industrial sheet metal projects. • Collaborate with internal teams to assess scope, labor, material, and equipment requirements. • Track bid results and maintain estimating databases for accuracy and competitiveness. Project Management • Plan, organize, and manage commercial and industrial sheet metal projects from award to completion. • Coordinate with field teams, fabrication shops, and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance. • Monitor project budgets, costs, and change orders; resolve issues proactively. • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • 5-7 years of experience in sheet metal contracting, HVAC, or construction project management. • Direct experience in both commercial and industrial sheet metal required. • Prior sales/business development experience, with cold calling and client outreach preferred. • Strong knowledge of sheet metal systems, fabrication, and installation processes. • Proficiency with estimating software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Proven ability to grow business relationships and secure new clients. • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and support junior team members. • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with attention to detail. Work Environment • Must be able to work in high pressure situations facing strict deadlines.
